Those at the best possible position to do more are the assumed good cops by no longer remaining quiet and allowing bad cops to eliminate their misuse of power or voting to get better direction for their unions that won't enable the behaviour. However, of course it is just words. Since following decades of corporations doing things for the wrong reason, people are very cynical. Even if all corporations stopped doing things wrong, it'll take a long, long time for this image of corporate America to reduce its tarnish. Part of what people might do is pick politicians who at least promise that they'll hold these corporations accountable. It probably wont happen by itself. This could be much easier if a person like that may run for office .

Because regardless of the sentiment, this is still 100 percent a business and marketing maneuver. If they truly wanted to do something positive, they can do it without advertising their products while doing this. Because it's not genuine. This is not any different than the coronavirus advertisements. They could have said nothing at all. That is good. Solidarity or else they realize a decent chunk of their audience is obsessed with something more significant than a damn videogame? Man. But Jesus, can't we be happy that firms are stating something? Do you not understand how much of an impact this could make?
