Like many other games, Path of Exile 2 has also slowed down due to the pandemic. It was first announced as early as 2019. "Path of Exile 2" retains all the expansions created in the past six years, and introduces a new skill system, upgrades, engine improvements, etc.

Although work has been completed in the next installment, Grinding Gear is still releasing an expansion of the base game. Echoes, the Atlas expansion that will be released on January 15th, will add many new endgame content, including new map types, boss battles and Buy POE Currency.
