The Indian market will soon see the debut of OnePlus Nord’s first wearable, which it has stated it will enter the smartwatch industry. The Nord smartwatch is reported to be coming to India early next month, presumably in the first week of October. The Nord Watch will strengthen OnePlus Nord’s position in the wearables market and intends to make the firm’s defining technology available to a wider audience, the company stated in a statement. The introduction of Nord Buds, Nord Buds CE, and Nord wired earphones marked the company’s early foray into the entry-level hearable market.

OnePlus Nord entered the smartwatch market at a time when India’s share of the worldwide wearable band market hit 15% in the second quarter of 2022, its highest-ever level, with sales of 6.3 million devices. India continued to ship the most wearable bands, trailing only China and the US, but its share increased to 15% for the first time, according to market research company Strategy analytics. According to Counterpoint Research, 30% of models delivered into the Indian market during the quarter were sold for less than $50, and big local companies introduced affordable models to lower the entry barriers for customers.

On August 27, OnePlus announced on its website and the OnePlus Store app that the Nord Wired earphones would be available for purchase in India. They mimic the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z in design and contain a 3.5mm audio jack. According to reports, the wired earphones’ style was inspired by the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z, which features a classic black finish and red accents. The OnePlus Nord Wired earphones’ magnetic earbuds perform the same duties as the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z’s magnetic earbuds. They can be clipped to pause the audio and unclipped to start playing immediately. A built-in remote with buttons for calls, music, and voice assistance is available.

The OnePlus Nord Wired earbuds include 9.2mm dynamic drivers that provide bass and a 0.42cc sound cavity for “bolder audio.” It is expected that the OnePlus Nord smartwatch would soon be released in India. According to a recent report, the low-cost wristwatch is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the OnePlus Nord 3 smartphone in the second half of the year. It is reported that the Chinese tech company is getting ready to introduce a number of smartphones in India this year. The OnePlus 10 Pro will soon be available in India, as OnePlus has already hinted. This month’s end is expected to see the release of this flagship smartphone. According to a 91Mobiles report, OnePlus is developing a Nord-branded wristwatch to compete with the entry-level smartwatch.
