GTA+ customers will now have access to a rotating selection of Rockstar Games, according to a Thursday announcement from Rockstar. Upon launch, users may download and play Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, a 2021 remaster of the early 21st-century classics GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas.

The titles will only be playable on the console platform to which your GTA+ membership is connected. Considering that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition usually costs $60, this would be a cheap and convenient way to play the three open-world pioneers again. With new lighting and ambient enhancements, high-res textures, longer draw distances, more up-to-date controls, and improved aiming, the trilogy's outmoded visuals are polished.

The 2021 remake begins with the very influential Grand Theft Auto III (2001), which wowed players at the turn of the 2000 with its expansive (for the time) open-world sandbox of Liberty City. GTA: Vice City, released in 2002, expanded on that model by including a spoken protagonist named Tommy Vercetti (played by the late Ray Liotta), as well as a ton of sarcasm and nostalgia for the 1980s. With a larger scale (it covers three towns) and a classic 1990s hip-hop soundtrack, GTA: San Andreas concluded the trilogy in 2004. In this game, you take on the role of Carl "CJ" Johnson (Christopher Bellard), who is making his way back to his Grove Street house after five years abroad.

For GTA Online users on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, GTA+ was released in 2022. The $6 a month program provides benefits including a monthly deposit of $500,000 in virtual money, as well as rotating goodies such in-game vehicles, outfits, homes, weapons, and bonus mission rewards.
