Arval has signed a deal to provide leasing options for YesAuto UK, a new and used car platform that launched in the UK last year.

YesAuto UK is the European arm of Autohome, an online car sales portal in China that has an 80 percent market share and 750 million page views a day. The company also operates in Germany and has ambitious growth plans for other regions.

Since April 2020, YesAuto has grown rapidly in the UK, attracting 1.1 million unique visitors and listing 135,000 vehicles from 1,800 retailers by September of the same year.

The partnership with Arval will allow YesAuto UK to add more than 170,000 new car rental deals to its existing platform.

Libo Bian, Head of Product Development at YesAuto, said: "Having the right partner is critical for us to continue to deliver a top-notch user experience.

"Working with Arval UK means we are now able to give our users the flexibility and choice they need and deserve, not just the traditional buying options that are not always right for them."

Paul Hyne, Commercial Director of Arval UK, said: "With its strong presence in China, we are delighted to be partnering with YYesAuto UK, as this is Yesauto's first entry into the UK car rental market.

"It enables us to bring exclusive rental deals directly to a wide range of consumers through its smart online platform and app, during a global pandemic, which we are facing today is the new normal for renting or buying a car."
