Working on the night shift might be harmful to you. Not getting enough sleep for extended periods of time can cause depression, heart diseases, and more.

Working the night shift can be hard on your body. Night shifts are more likely to lead to higher blood pressure, heart disease and obesity than day shifts.

We all know working at night can make it hard for us to adjust when we turn around and go back home. We also know working 12 hour days is very tiring too. With these things in mind, you should ask a doctor before working overtime or working the night shift.

One of the most common conditions that happen to work at nighttime is depression. Studies have found that working less sunlight upsets our internal body clock, which may contribute to depression. In addition, some studies have linked working nighttime with an increased risk for suicide attempts and suicidal thoughts among men who follow a rotating schedule of working the day and night shifts.
