EA announced that Madden NFL 22 would be available on the PS5 (X/S) versions of Madden NFL 22. These features were not available on Madden nfl 22 coins earlier versions on Xbox One and PS4 releases. These include next-gen stats, more precise AI, stadium atmosphere and improved movement. Many of these are part of the "dynamic gameday" feature that EA will be adding to Madden 22.

Unfortunately for the time being, the PC version will be the Xbox One/PS4 version, and not the next-gen version. Sports Gamers Online reached EA for an explanation. However, it isn't one that is going to please PC gamers that just bought the Madden games in the year 2019.

"It's something that's being considered in the near future," the EA Sports representative explains. "We are at a very early stage in the transition from next-gen, and our team is focused on providing the best experience available on new consoles before thinking about the possibility of upgrading different platforms."

The explanation does offer hope that Madden 22 will be updated on PC However, it could indicate the release of Madden 23. It's certainly disappointing, particularly considering that EA was making great strides toward making Madden on PC similar to consoles which was the case last year. Madden 21 was a prime example it was released on Steam and Origin on the same day the console versions, which was a first in the series. Hopefully PC Madden fans don't have to wait for a whole year to play a next-gen version of the game.

Madden NFL did not have an impressive 2020. Both the Xbox One and PS4 versions were heavily criticized by the public and by critics. Many of them focused on the perceived shortcomings of single-player modes such as Franchise Mode and Face of the Franchise. It was also extremely buggy. It was really buggy.

Similar to other games released in 2020, Madden NFL had to overcome the unforeseen difficulties brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. This forced the team to working from home during development. EA was also forced to deal an upcoming console shift- always a tricky period when sports game developers attempt to find a balance between old technology with the latest.

Now, fast forward to 2021 and EA is now more comfortable with the Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles, which allows them to make exciting changes to Madden 22. The homefield advantage is a major aspect that was neglected in the past.
