Every time you queue into a game of League, the factors you are presented with are different game to game. You’re facing different players, champions, builds…the list goes on.

There are well over a hundred League of Legends champions. Some of them are really poorly suited to newcomers because of how complex they are. You're better off sticking with simpler champions that let you focus instead on learning the overall strategy and feel of the game.First of all you should have a LoL Account

Why pick a main role?

There is nothing stopping you from jumping between roles but it’s hard to deny these benefits to settling down on one:

Limit your variables

Every time you queue into a game of League, the factors you are presented with are different game to game. You’re facing different players, champions, builds…the list goes on.

By focusing in on a role, you limit these factors and can more easily learn what you’re likely to deal with and how to beat them.

Discover nuances

Improve positive consistency and results

Although Riot encourages you to play within five designated roles, the biggest decider is how you personally like to play.

Top Lane:

You guessed it, the top laner goes to the top lane. Traditionally isolated from the team, this position assesses the map and looks to put pressure on enemy objectives. To protect high firepower but easy-to-kill teammates, they also need to take the brunt of the damage in team fights.

Beginner’s pick: Darius.

Darius is the epitome of a bruiser – a type of champion who is difficult to kill, while also dealing a decent amount of damage. His Apprehend (E) ability pulls all enemies in front of him into melee range, which is great for engaging priority targets.

The Mid Lane

The Mid Lane is where superstars are born. This is usually where players who are aspiring of proving their skills in League of Legends go to play. Players who want to show the world that they can carry the game will love this lane. However, the mid lane, in general, isn’t necessarily a complicated lane to master because you only need to master key responsibilities but the biggest discrepancy will be on the head-to-head skill check which kinda applies to every lane anyway.

The Jungle Overview

Lane: Middle Lane

Learning Difficulty: Medium

Responsibilities: Roaming, Lane Response, Mid-Late Game Carry

Champion Types: Mages, Assassins, Bruisers

Players to Watch: Faker, Caps, Rookie, ShowMaker

Mid Lane Responsibilities

The Mid Lane is the most accessible lane in the entire map so the mid laner is in charge of responding to a teammate who is in distress. They need to secure as many kills or CS as possible so that they can carry the game during the later stages of the game. The mid laner needs to constantly threaten to take a kill around the map by roaming so that enemy players won’t feel complacent about their position and eventually push them to make mistakes.

Mid Lane Champions

Mid Lane champions need to have the potential to impact the game dramatically. They should either be able to offer a high kill threat or provide game-breaking control that will make it difficult for the enemy team to initiate a teamfight. They should also be able to clear the wave efficiently and be able to move around the map quickly so that the enemies won’t be able to respond to them in time for a counterplay.

ADC

The abbreviation stands for Attack Damage Carry which already has a lot of sense in the title itself. This position in League of Legends, aka Marksman, is made for eliminating certain targets. The strength of the character, first of all, comes from the items that improve the damage rate. ADC champions make the most damage to the enemy team but at the same time suffer from low health and defense rate. Basically, the player sacrifices all their abilities in order to bring as much damage as possible to the opponent, especially at the end of the battle. At the same time, Marksman farms the game in order to buy items needed.

Support

This role in League of Legends must be the role that has players with different personalities. As you see, there are two kinds of support players: one who play enchanters and engagers for this role, and the other is Lux hard carry/ poke support who deals a great amount of damage.

The true support player are those who always pay attention at the map every minute, who would willing to sacrificed for their ADC, and know when to give his teammates kills.

Hard-carry/poke supports tend to take full damage runes/masteries, some eventually K.S. ADC’s or other teammates’ kill without mercy.

Therefore, to be able to become a true supporter, you tend to be really: sociable, cheerful, condescend, considerate, and on top of all, you know when it is time to sacrifice yourself for others.
