What is gastroenterology?

Gastroenterology is a field of medicine that focuses on the health of the digestive system or gastrointestinal tract (GI) as well as the liver. Gastroenterologists can treat everything from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) to hepatitis C.

What does a gastroenterologist do?

Gastroenterologists primarily diagnose and treat GI conditions. If your primary care physician finds a problem with your GI tract, they will most likely recommend that you see a gastroenterologist for a more detailed assessment of the problem.

Gastroenterologists perform endoscopic procedures, in which they use specialized equipment to view and diagnose the GI tract.

They do not perform surgery, although in some cases, they may work closely with a GI surgeon. They mainly work in a clinic or hospital setting.

Types of medical devices of gastroenterology.

1) Royals tube

Angiplast delivers royal tubes specifically designed for patients undergoing long-term gastro-intestinal food, aspiration, and intestinal secretions.

2) Infant nasogastric feeding tube

We offer infant nasogastric feeding tubes designed specifically for feeding infants and newborns.

Some of the main features of our nasogastric feeding tube: -

Implantation-testing made from PVC, non-resistant to fragile mucous membranes.

At the far end is a super smooth conifer with two side-eyes.

Color-coded female lure mounts for safe food with syringe or funnel.

A radio-opaque strip is co-extruded as an integral part of the catheter wall.

Sterile, non-toxic, and pyrogen-free.

3) Levine tube

The device is designed for the nasogastric introduction of nutrients and aspiration of intestinal secretion. Siliconized and smooth outer surface to reduce the possibility of tissue inflammation. Soften the thermosensitive material with body temperature corresponding to the shape of the nasogastric tract. Provided with a full-length radio-opaque line to check tube placement. Provision of three eye holes for efficient aspiration. The soft tapered connector on the proximal end fits easily with standard accessories. Sterile, non-toxic, and pyrogen-free.

4) Abdominal tube

These tubes are necessary for testing when both abdominal fluids sucking and preventing overeating and feeding are important. This tube makes it convenient for nurses to ensure that the abdomen does not need too much. It is also used to feed patients.

5) Colostomy / Eurostomy bag

A colostomy bag, commonly known as an ostomy pouching system, is a removable medical device used to store body wastes from our biological system (colon, ileum, urinary tract). Ostomates now have the option of purchasing an Angiplast disposable colostomy bag and cleaning the reusable bag without worrying about the pain.

6) Antral feeding set and feeding bag

Antral feeding should be considered for malnourished patients or those who are at risk of malnutrition and have a functional gastrointestinal tract but are unable to maintain adequate or safe oral intake. Although it is often a life-saving maneuver, it can adversely affect a patient's quality of life.

7) Duodenal royals tube

The device is used for nasogastric introduction of intestinal fluid aspiration or for the administration of intestinal nutrition.

Large side-eyes allow effective drainage.

The size of the eyes is consistent with the lumen, preventing obstruction.

Inspection of transparent material features aspirate.

The frosted surface eliminates the need for lubricants.

X-ray line and tip (royals) ensure position control.

Color-coded funnels with female connectors and closure standard adapters.
