The price of used housing becomes more expensive by 3% during the year 2022, 2.5 points more than what occurred in 2020.

According to data from the real estate portal Hogaria.net for the month of December, the price of used housing for sale rose by 0.1% compared to the month of November, in the fourth quarter it increased by 0.6% and at the interannual rate stands at +3%. During the month of December, 26 provinces rose in price compared to the previous month.

In the 2021 report, a 3% price increase at the national level stands out, much higher than that produced in 2020 (+0.5%) but well below the annual CPI. The price increases in most regions except in 8 provinces (Jaén -0.1%, Huesca -0.40%, Zaragoza -0.5%, Soria -1%, Lugo -1.8%, Córdoba -2 .1%, Teruel -2.4% and A Coruña -3.1%).

Among the main reasons, the beginning of the economic recovery, the creation of employment, the departure of workers in ERTE and the acquisition of housing as an investment asset that have strongly relaunched housing sales stand out. His forecast for 2022 is that the same trend will continue, so it may be a good idea to acquire a home in the first months of the year to avoid rising prices.
