Seeing Marc Marquez's Accident at the Mandalika Circuit

Marc Marquez fell in a horror accident in the warm-up session ahead of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP. Marquez fell while turning at Turn 7 which made him thrown off the motorbike and rolled over in the gravel.

The terrible incident made Marquez rushed to the Mataram Hospital for first aid. Marquez finally chose to withdraw from the Mandalika MotoGP race for health reasons.

"Marquez's accident was one of the most brutal I have seen so far," said Alex Criville as quoted by Motosan.

"Fortunately he is fine and ended up not taking part in the race due to medical considerations. He looked dazed," said Alex Criville, who raced with Repsol Honda from 1994-2001.

Marc Marquez has two weeks to recover his condition. The next MotoGP race will be held at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit, Argentina on April 3, 2022.

MotoGP Medical Director, Dr. Angel Charte, ensures that Marc Marquez's condition is not worrying after falling in a horror accident at the Mandalika Circuit, Sunday (20/3/2022). Marquez will continue his recovery in Barcelona, Spain.

"After Marc Marquez had a terrible accident, he was taken to the Hospital in Lombok to undergo a series of examinations. He was then brought back here," said Dr. Angel Chart.

"Nothing serious. Marc Marquez will return to Barcelona for further examination and recovery," said Dr. Angel Chart.

Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez, harbored anger and disappointment after canceling his race at the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP, Sunday (20/3/2022). Marquez canceled due to a horror accident.

"This is not my weekend because I have struggled and had problems from the start. A very bad crash in warm-up, maybe the biggest I've ever had," said Marc Marquez.

"I was taken to the hospital and although there were no serious problems, it was decided that I could not race. Of course this is a shame, but it is the best decision," said Marquez.

#Marquez has diplopia after crash in Mandalika

Marc Marquez is experiencing double vision problems or diplopia after crashing during the warm-up session for the Indonesian Grand Prix in Mandalika on Sunday, the Honda rider said as quoted by Reuters on Tuesday.

The six-time MotoGP champion had a crash at turn seven that sent him flying into the air for a hard landing on the edge. He hit his head but was spared serious injury when his motorbike was spinning in the air but missed him.

Marquez did not race after being declared unfit. The 29-year-old had a similar episode late last season after a concussion he suffered in a crash during training and said doctors advised him not to continue racing.

"I think I'm having deja vu," Marquez said on Twitter. "During the trip back to Spain, I felt uncomfortable with my vision and we decided to visit Dr. Sanchez Dalmau who confirmed I had another episode of diplopia."

"Fortunately, it wasn't as bad as the injury I had at the end of last year. But now it's time to rest and wait to get this far."

Honda said Marquez had undergone a medical in Madrid to evaluate all the bruising caused by the crash and an MRI of the brain to confirm he had no other injuries.

Marquez, who won six titles between 2013 and 2019, had a season-ending crash in the first race of the 2020 season when he broke his arm. He also missed four races in 2021 in order to fully recover from an arm injury and concussion.
