This shackle is a grade 8, featuring a bigger shackle opening and a safety bolt. You can attach the shackle to a connection point (such a pad eye) that is broader than typical thanks to the bigger shackle mouth. Additionally, the shackle has a double safety feature (a split pin and a safety bolt) to guard against unintentional pin unscrewing.
